More than 7,000 laptops stolen from warehouse at gunpoint, police say
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Los Angeles police are looking for robbers who stole an estimated $3 million worth of laptops at gunpoint from a warehouse.
KABC-TV says a gunman tied up a security guard at a warehouse in the Harbor Gateway area late Friday evening. Four other robbers then used two trucks to tow away a pair of trailers containing 7,650 Dell Inspiron laptops.
One trailer was later found empty. The other is still missing.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Detectives say the laptops may wind up being sold on Craigslist or eBay. They warn consumers to be cautious about buying a computer if the price seems too good to be true because it might be stolen property.
