Mo. teen pleads guilty in Ohio drifter's death
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A Missouri teen accused of helping his parents and two siblings kill an Ohio drifter has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.
Jordan Harvey was 14 years old in December 2009 when 20-year-old James William Boyd McNeely was killed in the basement of his family's home in Laddonia, a small town northwest of St. Louis.
A kidnapping charge was dropped in exchange for his plea Tuesday in Audrain County Court. He was charged as an adult.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Prosecutors say Jordan Harvey helped hold McNeely down while his father, Chester Harvey, suffocated him.
Chester Harvey pleaded guilty Monday to first-degree murder and other charges and was given a life sentence. He has said he became embroiled in a drug plot with McNeely after falling on hard times. He says McNeely attacked his family.
