A man has been charged with three counts of murder after two women and an 8-year-old child were shot in a mobile home in rural South Carolina, authorities say.
The shootings, which are thought to have resulted from a domestic dispute, happened in a mobile home park in Ravenel, a rural community about 20 miles west of Charleston, Maj. Eric Watson of the Charleston County Sheriff's Office said.
The man charged was apprehended by a deputy as he tried to drive from the scene in a car with another shooting victim - a woman who was wounded in the leg. She was hospitalized but the injury was not life-threatening.

Authorities have charged 23-year-old Kenneth Ancrum of Ravenel with three counts of murder, a count of attempted murder and a count of possessing a firearm during commission of a crime.
The Charleston County Coroner's office identified the victims as 55-year-old Betty Mungin, 29-year-old Alexis Mungin and 8-year-old Armani Mungin.
The relationship between the victims was not immediately clear and the coroner's office said it would not release additional information until its investigation is complete.

One officer describes finding the bodies of an adult and a child in the kitchen while a second adult victim was found by the front door.
He also found an infant crying on an air mattress. He took the child, who was covered in a blue blanket, through the rain to a cruiser where he fed him. Authorities said the child was 4-months old and was unharmed.
Another officer described how he stopped a white Lincoln that was leaving the mobile home park and arrested Ancrum. The officer reported a gun and a knife were confiscated. The woman with the gunshot wound was in the car.
