Colorado Springs police say a man who was fumbling with a gun during a traffic stop accidentally shot himself.
The Gazette reports an officer pulled 22-year-old Geordan Morris over in the northwestern part of the city early Sunday. The officer says he saw the driver's side door open and heard a gunshot before the man fell out of the car and told him he had shot himself.
Morris was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, but police have not said where he was shot.
