Law Enforcement Officers Follow Up on 400 Leads in Manhunt for Suspect in Florida Cop Killings

Police in Tampa, Fla., have followed up on more than 400 tips they've received in their search for a man accused of killing two police officers, said Tampa Police Chief Jane Castor on Friday.

Castor said at a news conference that law enforcement followed up on 42 leads Thursday evening.

There is a $100,000 reward being offered for information leading to the arrest of 24-year-old Dontae Rashawn Morrison, who police say killed two of their officers earlier this week.

"Our focus is on taking him into custody," Castor said.

Fifteen law enforcement agencies are involved in the search.

Billboards have been put up throughout the Southeast. Castor said Morrison may have left the state and may have shaved his head to disguise his appearance.

The case will be featured on the television program America's Most Wanted on Saturday.
