The House is lashing out at Russia for its unwavering support for Syria.
The House voted 407-5 on Thursday to bar the Defense Department from doing business with a Russian arms export company that has armed Bashar Assad's regime.
The vote on an amendment to the far-reaching defense spending bill came just hours after Russia vetoed a U.N. resolution threatening nonmilitary sanctions against Syria.

The amendment by Rep. Jim Moran of Virginia would prevent the Pentagon from contracting with Rosoboronexport. The Pentagon has purchased 33 helicopters for the Afghan military from the Russian state-controlled arms export company.
The House moved toward final passage of the $608 billion defense bill.
