Grand jury indicts Texas church arson suspects on multiple charges
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}TYLER, Texas (AP) — A district attorney says a grand jury has indicted two men suspected in a string of arsons at churches in Texas.
The Tyler Morning-Telegraph says Smith County District Attorney Matt Bingham announced Tuesday that 20-year-old Jason Robert Bourque faces five counts of arson and three counts of attempted arson.
It reports that Bingham also said 22-year-old Daniel George McAllister faces two counts of arson and two counts of attempted arson.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The men have been charged in one fire and are suspected of setting up to nine others. Nobody was injured in the January blazes.
Bourque and McAllister are held on $10 million bond each and face up to life in prison if convicted.
Bingham's assistant said Wednesday that she didn't have copies of the indictments returned May 13.
