Fires prompts evacuation at Newark airport
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Officials say a terminal at Newark Liberty Airport terminal was evacuated twice early Monday when a fire re-ignited.
WNBC-TV reports http://bit.ly/1UP86Ko that the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey confirmed that fire broke out just after 1 a.m. in a boiler room ceiling in Terminal B.
Reports say the terminal was evacuated, and then reopened after the blaze was extinguished.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}But officials tell the station that the fire rekindled a while later and forced another evacuation.
There was no report of any injuries in either incident.
The terminal was being ventilated early Monday as smoke hovered over the building.
