Cops: Teen sought after cyclist shot intervening in holdup
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Police say a warrant has been issued for a 17-year-old suspected of shooting a good Samaritan several times when he got off his bike to try to stop an armed robbery in a park in one of Philadelphia's most exclusive neighborhoods.
Police say the teen wasn't home on Wednesday. His parents are cooperating.
Officials say at least one other suspect remains at large.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Tuesday night shooting in Rittenhouse Square occurred as people dined at a sidewalk restaurant next to the park.
Officials say the 39-year-old cyclist tried to intervene when he saw the robbery. Police say the boy grabbed the gun from a co-conspirator and shot the cyclist in the chest, torso and shoulder.
The unidentified cyclist remains hospitalized in stable condition.
