Chicago police officer who fatally shot teen 16 times due in court for bond hearing

A Monday hearing for Officer Jason Van Dyke comes after days of protests in Chicago over the killing of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald.
A Cook County judge ordered the 37-year-old Van Dyke to remain in custody after he was charged last Tuesday. The judge said he wanted to see the video before deciding the issue of bond.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The video shows Van Dyke jumping out of his squad car last year and shooting McDonald as he walked away from police with a small knife. The video was released on the same day Van Dyke was charged with first-degree murder.
