DEVELOPING: A California elementary school is on lockdown following reports of a man waving a gun near or on the school's campus, NBC San Diego reports.

Knox Elementary School in Lincoln Park was placed on lockdown at around 10.40 a.m. local time Tuesday after a school employee saw a man pointing a gun up in the air, according to the station.
