Boy, 6, recovering from Tennessee birthday party shooting
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A mother says her 6-year-old son has made "miraculous" progress in his recovery after he was one of eight people shot during a toddler's birthday party in western Tennessee.
WMC-TV (http://bit.ly/2gaUNFF) reports Lynjerius Ross was shot in the hip and foot Thursday.
He's now walking with a cast covering his right leg inside Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}His mother, Nika Ross, said Sunday that her son hasn't even cried throughout his ordeal.
The shooting in Dyersburg killed a 21-year-old woman. She was the mother of the 2-year-old whose birthday was being celebrated.
Twenty-nine-year-old Torius Russell has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Authorities say Russell had been at the residence earlier in the day in a disturbance reported to police.
