Border Patrol agent fires gun at rock throwers at Arizona fence
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Border Patrol says an Arizona agent working along a Nogales border fence fired at rock throwers while breaking up a drug-smuggling attempt, and one of them might have been wounded.
Nogales police Chief Jeffrey Kirkham told the Nogales International he was told the agent fired in self-defense Monday morning after being shelled with rocks.
The FBI was called in to investigate as an assault on a federal officer.

He denied any involvement in the drug-smuggling operation and says he was walking down a street when he was wounded.
