Alarm company sued over Arkansas woman's death
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The estate of an 81-year-old woman who was killed in her home has sued an alarm-system company, claiming an operator canceled an alarm call to police while the woman was being attacked.
The Benton County Daily Record reports (http://is.gd/g0O0TV ) the suit was filed by the estate of Louise Bishop, who disappeared in 2009 along with her daughter, Christina Bishop. Their bodies were found in February 2010 in a grave near Garfield.
An alarm system operated by Guard Tronic went off the night of Louise Bishop's disappearance, but an employee testified that he canceled a call to police after receiving an abort signal from the home.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Bishop's estate claims she was held at gunpoint and forced to cancel the alarm.
An attorney for Guard Tronic declined to comment on the suit.
