8-year-old Ohio boy skips church and walks to store; father charged with child endangering
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The father of an 8-year-old Ohio boy who skipped church and was found alone at a store has been charged with child endangering.
Blanchester police say the boy apparently walked on a busy highway to a Family Dollar Store about a half-mile from his home on April 30.
Police Chief Scott Reinbolt says 31-year-old Jeffrey Williamson told police his son went missing around 5:30 p.m. that night but he assumed the boy had gotten on an evening church bus with four siblings. Reinbolt says Williamson told police he didn't watch them board the bus.
