A 16-year-old boy was shot in the head while sitting in a car around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

About seven minutes later, authorities found two teenage boys lying in the street with gunshot wounds in another neighborhood. Police say one died at the scene; the second was flown to a San Francisco Bay area hospital in critical condition.

In the third incident, a 15-year-old boy was wounded by gunfire around 10 a.m. Thursday in the front yard of a home. He also was flown to a Bay area hospital.

Police say at least two of the shootings appear gang-related.
