3 soldiers, other man indicted in attack on homeless man sleeping under bridge in Cincinnati
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}CINCINNATI (AP) — An Ohio grand jury has indicted three soldiers and another man on felonious assault charges in the beating of a homeless man who was sleeping under a Cincinnati bridge.
Indicted Thursday in Hamilton County were 24-year-old Michael Hesson, of Cincinnati; 24-year-old Pvt. Riley Feller; 25-year-old Spc. Travis Condor; and 21-year-old Matthew MacMurtrie. Prosecutors say Feller is stationed at Fort Knox, Ky., and that Condor and MacMurtrie are stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C.
Prosecutors say 52-year-old John Johnson was hit with a baseball bat and pipe on April 10. They say the assailants just wanted to "kick somebody's butt."
