3 Charged in Nursing Home Abduction

DETROIT  -- Three men -- including a father and son -- are charged in the abduction of a 90-year-old man from a Detroit-area nursing home.

The Wayne County prosecutor's office says Monday that 54-year-old Alfred Khattar and 25-year-old Ted Tomes are charged with unlawful imprisonment, conspiracy to commit unlawful imprisonment, and two counts each of vulnerable adult abuse.

The father and son were arrested Saturday. Fifty-year-old Darrell Howard was arrested Thursday and arraigned on unlawful imprisonment.

A tip led police to a hotel Friday where they found Floyd Pickrell.

Pickrell suffers from dementia. He was reported missing Tuesday from a nursing home in Taylor. Authorities believe Pickrell may have been taken for his money.

Tomes and Khattar were to be arraigned Monday. None of the defendants have attorneys.
