Authorities say two men rescued from The Venetian hotel-casino's canal on the Las Vegas Strip were hospitalized this week in critical condition.
The Clark County Fire Department said crews were called about 7:45 a.m. Monday for a reported drowning or diving incident at The Venetian property's man-made canal, known for hosting gondola rides that go inside and outside the hotel-casino.
Las Vegas police said hotel security reported the men, who were unresponsive but breathing after trying to swim across a pond area. The case is considered a medical call with no criminal charges filed.
