2 injured in chemical explosion at Oregon silicon factory
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Emergency crews rushed to a Portland, Ore. silicon factory Thursday night, after two people were injured in a chemical reactor explosion.
Crews received the call for assistance from the Siltronic Corp. plant about 9:30pm, The Oregonian reported.
A fire and rescue spokesman said workers were working with trichlorsilane -- which is used to create silicon wafers -- when it exploded.
