Sights and Sounds of the 2010 Toy Fair

I had the chance to stroll the aisles at the 2010 Toy Fair in New York City, and it's easy to figure out what's hot this year: movies, movies, movies. From "The Transformers" and "G.I. Joe" to "Star Wars" and "Iron Man 2," all the big flicks are getting the royal toy treatment. (FoxNews.com)

Toymakers are taking the smart step and letting children become part of the story lines from their favorite movies. Want to blast off like Iron Man? Just slip on his mask and arm repulsor unit. Want to hunt Jedi like a bounty hunter in "Star Wars"? Grab a light saber with battery activated sound effects and put on Boba Fett's helmet.

And this year everything old is new again. Classic games like Monopoly and Scrabble are now coated in a 21st century polish. If you want to pass Go you’ll shell out a cool $2,000,000 bucks!  LIFE creator Reuben Klamer was on hand to celebrate the 50th Anniversary Edition as well. "We updated the game to make it more relevant to today." Klamer told me. "For instance doctors are no longer making $25,000 a year. Needless to say we’ve updated a few things."

I felt like a kid in a candy store playing with a few of the 100,000 products on display including Legos, Beyblade, Nerf and yes even Operation Shrek edition. I even played with the new Easy Bake Oven. Yes you read that right!

Most of the new products arrive in time for Christmas. But I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking. Enjoy!
