US Airways CEO Sentenced to One Day in Jail for DUI

The CEO of US Airways has been ordered to spend a day in jail for his drunken driving arrest on the day his airline's bid for Delta Air Lines was rejected.

According to the Scottsdale City Court clerk's office, Doug Parker pleaded guilty on Tuesday to one DUI charge. Prosecutors asked that a second DUI charge and a speeding charge be dismissed.

A municipal court judge ordered Parker to spend 24 hours in jail on March 15th. The judge also ordered Parker to be screened by a doctor to determine if he has a problem with alcohol addiction.

Parker was pulled over January 31st after leaving a party at the FBR Open golf tournament in Scottsdale.
