Jurors on Thursday convicted Barnhill in the March 11 fatal shooting of Melissa Kesinger Barnhill at her residence in Nacogdoches.
Police say the 38-year-old woman was preparing dinner for her two children when she was shot through a kitchen window. She died of a gunshot wound to the neck.
Police say the Barnhills had separated and were divorcing.
