Second-Grade Teacher Sues School Officials After Resigning Over Howard Stern Bikini Stint
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A former second-grade teacher who resigned after making an appearance in a bikini on the "Howard Stern Show" is suing Southington school officials and her union.
Marie Jarry, who resigned abruptly in May after taking a paid sick day to appear on the shock jock's satellite show, claims she was forced into resigning.
Her lawsuit has been filed in Hartford federal court.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Jarry resigned from her job as a second-grade teacher at Thalberg Elementary School in Southington days after she wore a bikini and talked about her sex life while appearing with her husband on Stern's show.
The couple won $5,000 in the show's "Ugliest Dude, Hottest Wife" contest.
Jarry is demanding that she be reinstated and receive back pay from when she resigned.
