She’s an Oscar-winning actress and one of Hollywood’s hottest stars — but even Reese Witherspoon’s children, 9-year-old daughter Ava & 6-year-old-son Deacon, are surprisingly "embarrassed" of their uber-famous mom.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}"My children are embarrassed at me all the time. They're like ‘mom you're being really stupid’,"Witherspoon told us in a recent interview. "When ‘Monsters vs. Aliens’ came out Ava told me I'm the coolest mom in the third grade. I said ‘can you put it on a piece of paper and sign it for me please’. I was cool once."
And as cool and yet hot as the majority of men (and women) think Witherspoon is, she won’t be baring too much for the lights and camera.
"I had my first baby when I was 23, so for me, no. I've always been choosing roles knowing that I have a daughter and I have a responsibility to her and to the world to be representing women of strength," the 33-year-old added. "These are the women I know in life. I think it's a natural extension of parenthood for you to feel like you’re responsible for the worlds you create, whether they be silly or serious. I think you are responsible for the art you put in the world."

While these are certainly inspiring words of wisdom, don’t be fooled — this mama was more than happy to embrace her childhood habits while lending her voice to "Monsters vs. Aliens".
"It's definitely not hard. It's like you go in and it's about how imaginative you can be. For me, that's just a fantastic opportunity to be free and act like a 5-year-old," Witherspoon added. "We just go in the sound booth and be silly and eat candy and drink caffeine and bounce off the walls. The older I get the more I regress. I really have just become very silly."

Here is a lesson for everyone to learn: don’t list your lover with anything other than his real name in your phone, or you might just make an embarrassing Carridee English-style slip.
"I used to have my boyfriend listed as "daddy" in my phone because that was just his nickname and my real dad was "dad" and I accidentally sent my father the text ‘hurry up and get home … I’m waiting for you on the bed …’" the "America’s Next Top Model" alum told Tarts at the recent Palm Pre launch party in Los Angeles.

Could you imagine my dad sitting on the couch or at work and getting that? From then on I changed the names in my phone."
And as for the current controversy surrounding minors sexting naughty pics, English thinks its only cute if the age is legal.
"I'm all for it if you're the correct age and doing it with the right person, if you're involved with somebody it's fun to send them a cute little sexy message throughout the day," the 24-year-old explained. "But there is a big epidemic with children and teenagers doing it which isn't safe, you've got to be safe about it. But if you're in a relationship and you're a grown up and you can handle it, there's no issue."

Speculation has been surrounding Kelly Clarkson’s sexuality for quite some time now — but while she thinks "its hot" to be hit on by girls, this songstress ain’t fallin’ for the same sex.
"Those (lesbian rumors) are not helping me on the dating front! I prefer the boys. I’m extremely flattered when I do get hit on by girls and I think it’s hot but I’m not into it. I like boys," Clarkson told Sydney station 2Day FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show last week.

And even though the "Idol" alum has also hit the headlines because of her curves, she has no desire to drop pounds.
"For seven years it’s been happening. It’s like, ‘Okay cool, the fat joke.’ I love my body, I’m very much okay with it," Clarkson added. "I don’t think artists are ever the ones who have the problem with their weight, I think it’s the media who have a problem with it."
