Missouri Gunman Who Killed 5 Was Depressed for Weeks, Police Say
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A man who shot five people to death, including his longtime girlfriend and three of their children, before fatally shooting himself had been depressed and acting irrationally for weeks, police said Sunday.
Police identified the shooter as Hersel M. Isadore, 35. He fatally shot Alisandria G. Davis, 35, who witnesses said was his cousin; his longtime girlfriend, Shanika King, 32, and three of their children on Saturday, authorities said.
A fourth child, Marquill King, 11, was found alive with a gunshot wound to the face. He was listed Sunday in "very grave" condition at a hospital, police said.

But police did not go into further detail about Isadore's behavior. Relatives said he had been acting depressed and could be controlling with King, whom he was friends with since she was 13 and he was 16.
King's aunt, Janna Walker, said Isadore called King's mother and told her, "I'm tired of being picked on and I just shot everybody in the house."
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}His grandmother, Annie Blackwell, did not know what could have motivated Isadore. She said he loved his children and regularly called to check on her.
"He was a beautiful person," Blackwell said. "We didn't even know there was something wrong."
Isadore's body was found in the kitchen of his home with a revolver nearby. No suicide not was found at the scene, police Capt. Rich Lockhart said.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The three children who died were: MyKzee Isadore, 13 months; Amaya King, 14; and Dovian King, 8.
Two of the couple's other children had spent the night at their grandmother's house, said police and relatives in the neighborhood about five miles east of downtown Kansas City. They're now staying with family, police said.
