In March, Christopher Sands had hoped surgery to repair a damaged stomach valve would cure his strange, but true medical condition: Sands, 25, has hiccupped 20 million times in two years.
Now, it seems there may be another factor contributing to Sands' hiccups.
Last week, a Japanese doctor told Sands he has a brain tumor measuring 1.2 centimeters that is “practically inoperable,” London’s Daily Mail reported.

Since the brain stem has an effect on the body’s nervous system, Sands’ family believes the tumor is the reason why he hiccups once every two seconds for 12 hours a day. Now he has to find out if the tumor is malignant.
Sands, from Woodhall Spa, Lincs, in England, used to be a singer and guitarist before he suffered from the hiccups.
