Check Your Facts

You know it's going to be an interesting morning when the first thing Brian mentions on the show is how he thinks about men wearing Speedos. I will say no more about that. Suffice it to say there is a reason Dr. Georgia Witkin (a psychologist) is our frequent companion!

Thank you to the incredible number of people who e-mailed complimenting the interview with Sen. Levin. Often politicians from all sides will inaccurately portray findings, polls, information to support their positions. I pointed out several of the senator's statements and told people to go to www.factcheck.org to get accurate, source information. Sen. Levin was very graceful about the incident and agreed that the Web site is a good source.

John Kerry and John Edwards are on their first campaign swing. When questioning John Edwards experience to be vice president there is a response line that is clearly dictated from the Democratic Party. Everyone is repeating verbatim: "John Edwards has four more years of foreign policy experience than George Bush." Presumably they mean from when George Bush ran for President. But doesn't that same argument hold true for President Clinton? It doesn't make much sense to me, but maybe I'm missing something.

Sen. Norm Coleman is holding feet to the fire in this oil-for-food investigation. We will continue to report what his committee finds out. Sen. Levin co-chairs with him by the way.

Check out the Six Flags concert that Sean Hannity is sponsoring Thursday night.

Speaking of Texas... I won't be here Friday. I’m taking the big kids down to Texas for camp. I'll see you again on Monday.
