1.3 Million MagnaMan Action Figures Recalled by Consumer Product Safety Commission

MagnaMan is the latest casualty of the toy recall frenzy.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said Monday that about 1.3 million of the action figures, distributed by MEGA Brands America, would be recalled because small magnets inside the toys can come loose and be swallowed by children.

No injuries have been reported so far, but the company and the CPSC have received about 25 complaints about MagnaMan's small magnets detaching.

The MagnaMan toys are warrior figures with magnetic body parts. They're sold at Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, Toys "R" Us and other stores across the country.

Consumers are advised to stop using MagnaMan immediately and send it back to MEGA Brands for a free replacement toy, according to the CPSC.

Those needing additional information can call the company at (800) 779-7122 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or phone the CPSC hotline at (800) 638-2772 to report an injury or dangerous toy.
