Zanotti felled by tee shot
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Zandvoort, The Netherlands (SportsNetwork.com) - European Tour golfer Fabrizio Zanotti was struck in the forehead by the tee shot of a fellow competitor during Thursday's first round of the KLM Open.
Zanotti was playing the 16th hole at Kennemer Golf & Country Club, when he was struck. Alexandre Kaleka was on No. 14 and hit the wayward tee shot that felled Zanotti.
Play was suspended for nearly two hours as Zanotti, who did not lose consciousness, was treated on the course before being taken to a hospital for further observation.

Zanotti tweeted, "Thank(s) a lot for the messages, I have been discharged from the hospital. Now I will have to take a couple of weeks off."
In June, Zanotti closed with back-to-back 65s to win the BMW International Open. That was his first tour victory.
