New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - New York Yankees minor league pitcher Alfredo Aceves has been suspended 50 games for violating the drug program.
The penalty is without pay and comes after a second positive test for an unspecified drug of abuse.
Aceves appeared in 10 games for the Yankees in May and early June before a demotion to the minors. He was pitching for the team's Triple-A affiliate in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre at the time of the suspension.
