Wofford shuts down Chattanooga 88-56
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Jamar Diggs scored 24 points and two other players scored at least 22 as Wofford stunned Chattanooga 88-56 on Thursday night.
Cameron Rundles chipped in 23 points and Noah Dahlman had 22 for the Terriers, (9-9, 6-1 Southern Conference), who won their fourth straight game. The loss kept Chattanooga (11-9, 7-1) from starting conference play 8-0 for the first time since the 1996-97 season.
The Terriers, who entered the game as the top 3-point shooting team in the conference at 39.3 percent, made 57.1 percent (12 of 21) and shot 57.6 percent (34 of 59) from the field overall.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Chattanooga, meanwhile, made only 17 of 47 from the field (36.2 percent) and suffered its lowest point total of the season.
The Terriers opened the game with a 20-3 run and never looked back, building 42-point advantages twice in the second half.
Troy Cage led the Mocs with 19 points.
