The Chicago Bears made a curious decision at the end of the first half of their Week 4 matchup against the Oakland Raiders. The winless Bears drove down to the one yard line with less than two minutes remaining in the half -- and they settled for a field goal.
The chip shot gave the Bears a two-point lead going into halftime, but a touchdown would have afforded Chicago a lead the likes of which it has not experienced this season. The ultra-safe decision to kick it is typical of a team coached by John Fox.
