Wild's Backstrom leaves game after collision
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}St. Paul, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - Minnesota Wild goaltender Niklas Backstrom left Wednesday's game in the first period after a collision with Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri.
Kadri crashed the net and made contact to the head of a defenseless Backstrom. The Minnesota netminder laid motionless on the ice for a few seconds before getting up and staying in the game for a few more minutes.
Kadri received a minor penalty for goaltender interference. Josh Harding, who did not start due to feeling ill, entered the game for the injured Backstrom.
