Watch Gennady Golovkin destroy Dominic Wade with a second-round KO

Gennady Golovkin Dominic Wade during a middleweight title fight at The Forum on April 23, 2016 in Inglewood, California.

Boxing's most dangerous fighter needed less than two full rounds to score his 22nd consecutive knockout, as Gennady Golovkin improved his record to 35-0 with a beatdown of Dominic Wade Saturday night in Los Angeles. Wade never had a chance from the opening bell and was knocked down three times by Golovkin - who is still waiting for a megafight against Canelo Alvarez.

Alvarez's WBC middleweight title will be on the line May 7th in a fight against Amir Khan. If Alvarez retains his title but does not face Golovkin next, he'll be forced to surrender the belt. Golovkin-Alvarez is the kind of superfight the sport dearly needs, but it remains to be seen if any major talent is brave enough to step in the ring with GGG.
