Warriors waive G Smith

The Golden State Warriors waived guard Ish Smith on Friday.

Smith played in six games this season with the Warriors and averaged 5.4 points along with 1.8 rebounds and assists in 12.6 minutes. He was awarded via a waiver claim on December 16 after being waived by Memphis.

The 23-year-old appeared in 43 games (three starts) last season -- his first in the league -- with Houston and Memphis, averaging 2.3 points, 1.8 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 10.3 minutes.
