Golden State forward David Lee hobbled off the court after hurting his right hip on a driving layup in the fourth quarter of Game 1 against Denver.

Lee was trying to get around JaVale McGee on Saturday in the first round of the NBA playoffs when he was fouled and fell awkwardly to the floor. Lee made one of two free throws but struggled to get back down the court to play defense. He was in such pain at halfcourt that he was escorted to the bench and then headed into the locker room.

There was no immediate update on whether he would return.

Lee had 10 points and 14 rebounds before the injury occurred early in the fourth quarter.
