Wagner defeats Fairleigh Dickinson 61-57
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Tyler Murray scored 20 points and Wagner scored the final six points of the game to take a 61-57 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson on Thursday night.
The Seahawks (11-11, 7-4 Northeast Conference) trailed 57-55 with 1:46 to play, but Fairleigh Dickinson (4-18, 2-9) didn't score again. Wagner hit four free throws and a layup to pull out its second win in three games.
Josh Thompson's free throw cut the margin to 57-56 and Latif Rivers converted a three-point play for a 59-57 lead with 33 seconds left.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Murray finished the scoring with two free throws with 23 seconds to play.
Fairleigh Dickinson outrebounded Wagner 45-32, but committed 21 turnovers the Seahawks' eight.
Rivers and Thompson added 11 points each and Naofall Folahan scored 10 points for Wagner.
