Vincent Kompany declares himself fit to face Russia after groin strain
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Belgium captain Vincent Kompany has declared himself fit to play Sunday's game against Russia and says three days of treatment for a groin strain have put him back in match form.
Kompany said on the eve of Belgium's second Group H game that he has "no more worries."
Kompany has been sidelined since sustaining the injury late in Tuesday's 2-1 victory over Algeria. The Manchester City central defender is counted on for both his technical skill and leadership qualities.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Belgium leads the group with three points ahead of South Korea and Russia, which both have one point, and Algeria with none. Victory over Russia will guarantee Belgium's place in the knockout stages.
