The Minnesota Vikings waived cornerback Melvin White on Thursday, parting ways with the 26-year-old defender after signing him to a reserve/future contract in January.

A former teammate of Vikings defender Captain Munnerlyn, White spent two years with Munnerlyn and the Panthers after signing with Carolina as an undrafted free agent in 2013.

White nabbed two interceptions in his first season with the Panthers, returning one of them for a touchdown, adding another interception in 2014.

Gordon was released by the Panthers in 2015 and spent a year on the Los Angeles Rams' practice squad, before signing with the Vikings.
