Vikings sign right guard Brandon Fusco to contract extension on day before season opener
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Minnesota Vikings have signed right guard Brandon Fusco to a contract extension.
The deal was done Saturday, just before the Vikings were scheduled to travel to St. Louis for the season opener Sunday.
Fusco was a sixth-round draft pick out of NCAA Division II Slippery Rock in 2011, who became a starter the next year, when Adrian Peterson rushed for 2,097 yards.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Vikings kept the same offensive line intact for the third straight season. Fusco is the third of the five members who've signed long-term contracts within the past two years, along with center John Sullivan and right tackle Phil Loadholt.
