The Vikings placed defensive tackle Tom Johnson on injured reserve and signed defensive tackle Toby Johnson of Georgia.
Tom Johnson tore a hamstring in Sunday's game against the Colts. The 32-year-old had 26 tackles (16 solo), 2 sacks, 6 tackles for loss and 48 quarterback hurries in 14 games this season.
Toby Johnson first joined the Vikings' practice squad before the Wild Card game this past January and spent the offseason with the club. He was briefly signed to the 53-man roster last week, but was released to make room for the activation of Adrian Peterson.
