Vicideo and Dunn homer, White Sox blank Red Sox

Carroll (3-5) fanned five, walked two and allowed just one hit. Javy Guerra gave up one hit in his 1 1/3 relief frames, while Zach Putnam pitched the ninth for Chicago, which has won four of its last five games.
Adam Dunn homered and scored twice for the visitors.

Clay Buchholz (3-5) struck out seven over seven innings, but took the loss after surrendering five hits and four runs.
