Utah State wide receiver suspended after being cited on suspicion of soliciting a prostitute
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Utah State wide receiver Gregory Weichers has been indefinitely suspended from the team on the same day he was cited on suspicion of soliciting a prostitute.
Logan police say the citation issued Tuesday to Weichers on the class B misdemeanor charge stemmed from an Oct. 22 incident.
No further details were released and Logan Police Chief Gary Jensen did not immediately return phone calls Wednesday.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Weichers has played in all nine games for Utah State this season, catching 10 passes for 84 yards. The 20-year-old freshman, a graduate of Bingham High School in South Jordan, had a career-high three receptions for 27 yards in the Aggies' 35-14 win at Hawaii on Saturday.
His father is former BYU safety Greg Weichers.
