Towson shuts down Delaware 19-0
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}TOWSON, Md. (AP) Darius Victor punched in a touchdown, Sam Hurwitz kicked four field goals and Towson cruised to a 19-0 win over Delaware on Saturday.
Connor Frazier was 25 of 34 for 284 yards passing as Towson (5-3, 3-2 Colonial) got its first shutout victory since 2005. Christian Summers had 133 yards on eight catches and Marquel Dickerson had 102 yards rushing on 20 carries.
The Tigers dominated Delaware (3-5, 2-3), piling up 410 total offensive yards while holding the Blue Hens to just 14 yards passing and 88 on the ground with six first downs.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Victor's touchdown run late in the second quarter capped a 10-play, 83-yard drive that included 21- and 37-yard catches by Summers. Hurwitz hit two 39-yard field goals as well as 27- and 34-yard field goals.
Delaware's Joe Walker completed just three of his nine passes for 14 yards and an interception.
