Titans agree to terms with Leon Washington in move to help fix special teams woes
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms with Leon Washington in an attempt to fix their struggles on special teams.
The Titans announced the deal Tuesday.
An eight-year veteran, Washington is a two-time Pro Bowler who has returned 245 kickoffs averaging 25.9 yards per return with 168 punt returns averaging 9.9 yards a return. He was waived last week by New England and spent the previous three seasons with Seattle. He started with the Jets between between 2006 and 2009.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Titans waived returner Devon Wylie and center Kevin Matthews. Wylie lost a fumble on a kickoff return and bobbled a punt last week.
They also agreed to terms with defensive tackle Frank Kearse adding him to the practice squad and placed defensive tackle Chigbo Anunoby on the squad's injured list.
