Minnesota Timberwolves guard Ricky Rubio says he has apologized to acting coach Terry Porter for an outburst following a loss.

Rubio said Friday morning that he and Porter cleared the air in a meeting Thursday. Rubio had been upset that he was on the bench for the fourth quarter of the Timberwolves' 91-83 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night.

Rubio said his comments weren't meant to be seen as being against Porter. Rubio instead said he was frustrated with himself because he wasn't playing.

The Timberwolves were in Washington on Friday for a game against the Wizards.
