Ten-man Dortmund hands Bremen first home loss
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Ivan Perisic and Patrick Owomoyela scored, man Borussia Dortmund defeated Werder Bremen, 2-0, on Friday at Weser- Stadion in the Bundesliga.
Perisic scored in the 42nd, then was sent off early in the second half, but a goal from Owomoyela in the 71st sealed three big road points for the defending Bundesliga champions.
Bremen had won its first four home matches, and slipped two spots from second to fourth in the standings with the defeat.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Dortmund moved to second on goal differential, while Bremen fell behind third- place Monchengladbach on the same tiebreaker. All three clubs have 16 points, and Gladbach could break the tie when it hosts Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.
Bayern Munich, which hosts Hertha Berlin on Saturday, leads the table with 19 points.
Also Saturday, Mainz hosts Augsburg, Stuttgart hosts Hoffenheim, Wolfsburg hosts Nurnberg, and Schalke hosts Kaiserslautern. On Sunday, Freiburg hosts Hamburg and Cologne hosts Hannover.
