Syracuse DB Julian Whigham hospitalized after suffering abdominal injury

Syracuse cornerback Julian Whigham was hospitalized and in stable condition after with an abdominal injury after being hurt in the first quarter of the Orange's game against No. 2 Florida State.

Whigham was guarding Florida State's Rashad Greene when the receiver caught a 6-yard touchdown pass from Jameis Winston with 40 seconds left in the first quarter. The two went to the ground as Greene caught the ball, but Whigham stayed down.

Whigham was carted off the field on a stretcher and placed in an ambulance. He entered the game with 12 tackles and three interceptions this season.
