Struggling La Liga side Levante fires coach Lucas Alcaraz

VALENCIA, Spain --
Struggling Spanish club Levante has fired coach Lucas Alcaraz after it fell to the bottom of the standings.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Levante made the announcement after the team lost 4-0 at home to Real Sociedad on Sunday.
The Valencia-based side is in last place after only one win in nine rounds.
Alcaraz took over Levante one year ago and helped it avoid relegation last season.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}He is the second coach to be fired in Spain's first division this season after Las Palmas replaced Paco Herrera with Quique Setien last week.
